One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Lyon Trucker could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 40 m. Brave Jewel suddenly started to galop. Robert Bergh had to struggle to get Brave Jewel to tror again and succeded after 20 m. Bank Holiday suddenly started to galop. Ulf Eriksson had to struggle to get Bank Holiday to tror again and succeded after 50 m.

Cornichon quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Bank Holiday looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that S.p Fort Knox couldn't come out from behind the leader, Cornichon. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 20 m. driver couldn't keep Lyon Trucker to trotting so they were disqualified.

Ulf Ohlsson tried a little too much on the homestretch and Lyon Trucker started to galopp and lost 30 m.

Lichter Fort Mich won the race after a spectacular finish.
