The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Axevalla this day. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Powerful Devil was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Duquesne Whistle took the lead after 1000m. Powerful Devil didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Powerful Devil saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Oregon Johnny was first on the homestretch followed by Powerful Devil and Duquesne Whistle. Oregon Johnny didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race. Results
