One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Piska Litetill tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Sensationeel that came steaming ahead.

There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Piska Litetill galloped for 60m and was disqualified.

Fighting Puma looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Prince Lightning couldn't come out from behind the leader, Sensationeel. Piska Litetill galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.

Fighting Puma suddenly took over the lead. Sensationeel was disturbed and gallopped for 40 m.

Fighting Puma kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Sensationeel won the race after a spectacular finish.
