Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Suonenjoki track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Petit Baguette found a gap and took the lead. Étonnement Jeune followed before With Magic Sences. Instant Karma galloped way to long and was disqualified. Petit Baguette was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.




Silvikko quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Petit Baguette took the lead after 1000m. Lonely Astronaut didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Spring Night galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Petit Baguette followed by Étonnement Jeune and With Magic Sences. Lane two Lonely Astronaut followed by Silvikko and Pure Ice. Something caused a disturbance in the field and With Magic Sences gallopped for 20 m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Spring Night gallopped for 10 m.



Étonnement Jeune speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Lonely Astronaut won the race after a spectacular finish.
