The weather had been good all week and Pihtipudas was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Salamander was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Good Looking Asteroid showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Orabell was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

Salamander clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Good Looking Asteroid suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Salamander today. It continued in the lead.

Salamander were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Into My Fantasy was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.

Sacred Wind won. Salamander came in second. Adonis caught third place.
