One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Lonely Maid was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Vocalist saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Lonely Maid took the lead after 1000m. Vocalist didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Viduka Rebel was disturbed and galoped 20 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Lonely Maid followed by Johnny Globetrotter and Pointing Girl. Lane two Vocalist followed by Open Heart and Viduka Rebel.




Lonely Maid was still in the lead after 2000m.



Lonely Maid were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Lonely Maid didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
