One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Il Sole could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Speciale Ragazza suddenly started to galop. Tapio Perttunen had to struggle to get Speciale Ragazza to tror again and succeded after 10 m.

María Isabel quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Blue Falcon who started to galop and lost 20 m.

François took the lead after 1000m. Grasping Viper didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

François was still in the lead after 1500m.

Speciale Ragazza suddenly took over the lead.

François litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep François to trotting so they were disqualified.

Speciale Ragazza sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
