The weather had been good all week and Axevalla was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Mendez Trot found a gap and took the lead. Powerful Scope followed before Happy Asteroid.




Happy Asteroid saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Styxon Ciniferalis who started to galop and lost 50 m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Happy Asteroid today. It continued in the lead.



Happy Asteroid looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Mendez Trot won. Happy Asteroid came in second. Spallino caught third place.
