Tropical Sugar tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Karl Petter Løken that came steaming ahead.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Purple Winter looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Tropical Sugar couldn't come out from behind the leader, Karl Petter Løken.

Karl Petter Løken was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Purple Winter gallopped for 50 m.

With only a little left of the race Purple Winter galoped for 20 m. Tropical Sugar was first on the homestretch followed by Karl Petter Løken and Neeskens.

Tropical Sugar didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
