The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Romme this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Portadown Line could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Gaylord Focker Superior looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Quickfix Lore couldn't come out from behind the leader, Citizen St Marks.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Citizen St Marks followed by Slight Twist and Galifianakis Superior. Lane two Colombine Améthyste followed by Gaylord Focker Superior and Portadown Line.




Gaylord Focker Superior sat safely in the lead after 2000m.



Gaylord Focker Superior were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Gaylord Focker Superior kept the speed the whole finish and won before Galifianakis Superior and Slight Twist.
