The weather had been good all week and Halmstad was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Blyth Spartans tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Shy Sergeant that came steaming ahead. Zanoletti showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.

Beki saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Chevrolet Hawky sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Beki was disturbed and galoped 20 m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Chevrolet Hawky today. It continued in the lead.

Chevrolet Hawky looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Blyth Spartans won the race after a spectacular finish.
