The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Kalmar this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

European Night was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Saaristo was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

Thibaud saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Jeu De Guerre took the lead after 1000m. Confident Space didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Sijbring looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Exotic Diary was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Sijbring kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
