One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Blossoming Sparrow tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Il Sole that came steaming ahead.




Blossoming Sparrow quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Elrond looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Il Sole couldn't come out from behind the leader, Blossoming Sparrow. Il Sole galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m. driver couldn't keep Plaxton to trotting so they were disqualified.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Blossoming Sparrow followed by Il Sole and . Lane two Elrond followed by Plaxton and .




Elrond put some pressure on the leader and could take over.




Elrond was safely in the lead after 2500m.



Elrond kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Elrond galop. Elrond lost 20 m.




Blossoming Sparrow sprinted over the finishline before Il Sole and Elrond.
