One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Etobicoke could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Dark Shadows was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.




Usain Bolt saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Chevallier looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Edgy Lady couldn't come out from behind the leader, Usain Bolt. Force Me galoped after 1000m and lost 20 m.



Etobicoke looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Edgy Lady couldn't come out from behind the leader, Chevallier.






Edgy Lady won. Etobicoke came in second. Chevallier caught third place.
