One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Loving Diary took the lead after a very quick start. Zegeteken was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

Ilegems quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Ilegems who started to galop and lost 10 m. Ojsan Erfaren Matlappsjägare started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Stifling Grove was disturbed and galoped 20 m.

Ilegems clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Ilegems was still in the lead after 1500m.

Kessler speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep Funky Stone to trotting so they were disqualified.

Ilegems won the race after a spectacular finish.
