It had been raining for several days at Kaukonen but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Flea Flow could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.
Kvarngärdets Kitesurfing quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Amazon took the lead after 1000m. Kvarngärdets Kitesurfing didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
