The sun was shining on Åby today. A perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Bourne Rebel was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

Godin saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Bourne Rebel who started to galop and lost 20 m.

Dreaming Muscle looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Focused Snake couldn't come out from behind the leader, Godin. Focused Snake was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Godin followed by Flickering Moment and Rex Francorum. Lane two Focused Snake followed by Dupire and Dreaming Muscle.

Godin sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Örjan Kihlström tried a little too much on the homestretch and Focused Snake started to galopp and lost 40 m. Focused Space galopped for 20 m on the homestretch.

Dupire sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
