The weather had been good all week and Oulu was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Frozen Pony tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Glowing Breeze that came steaming ahead.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Frozen Pony sprinted to the front.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Frozen Pony was still in the lead after 1500m.




Frozen Pony sat safely in the lead after 2000m.



Glowing Breeze was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Frozen Pony kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Frozen Pony didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
