The weather had been good all week and Axevalla was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Adorable Winter could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Di Bartolomeo started to galop and lost 20 m.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Mr Confident sprinted to the front.




Mille Bleu sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Mille Bleu today. It continued in the lead.



Mille Bleu looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Adorable Winter galopped for 50 m on the homestretch.




Cleveland Striker won. Mille Bleu came in second. Indochine caught third place.
