One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Light Power took the lead after a very quick start.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Pinstripe´s Chili sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Light Power showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Pinstripe´s Chili was still in the lead after 1500m.

With only a little left of the race Pinstripe´s Chili galoped for 50 m. Hoping Striker speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Final standings. 1 Pinstripe´s Chili, 2 Rebellious Work, 3 Hoping Striker.
