The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.



The players just had time to make their last bets before the start. All horses seemed to be in good shape this day.





Active Valley was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Frosty Autumn showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.




Starstruck Heroine saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Wedding Crasher started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Punching Ship took the lead after 1000m. Big Valbuena didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Punching Ship followed by Der Kaiser and Sly Sergeant. Lane two Big Valbuena followed by Wedding Crasher and Active Valley.



Flickering Spring was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Punching Ship were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Sly Sergeant sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
