Start List
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Platinum Comet. Haloes ended up behind the leader. Vom Himmel got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Vom Himmel started to galop and lost 10 m.
This is the positions after 500m. Vom Himmel, Platinum Comet, Neither Nor, Blue Thrasher, Oh So Slow And Desolate, Haloes, Latenight Fan, Inkas Twana. A bird flew just in front of Inkas Twana who started to galop and lost 10 m.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
Oh So Slow And Desolate saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Platinum Comet started to gallop after 1500m and Erik Adielsson had to struggle to get it back in trotting.
Oh So Slow And Desolate didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.
Platinum Comet speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.
Haloes won the race after a spectacular finish.
