Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Kostenjuk was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. The leader got disturbed by something and Delamontagne took the lead rather easily. Blue King saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Blue King was still in the lead after 2000m. Blue King sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Kostenjuk made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Blue King. Results
