It had been raining for several days at Östersund but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Falling Band. Helpful Pirate ended up behind the leader. Merel De Blaeij got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.

Falling Band was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Falling Band followed by Merel De Blaeij and . Lane two Helpful Pirate followed by and . Something caused a disturbance in the field and Falling Band gallopped for 20 m.

Falling Band kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Merel De Blaeij galoped for 60m and was disqualified.

No-one could catch Falling Band today who won before Helpful Pirate and Merel De Blaeij.
