One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Independant Energy sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Acciano was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.
There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. A bird flew just in front of Acciano who started to galop and lost 30 m.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
