One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Mantovani could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. The leader got disturbed by something and Kajsa Kemp took the lead rather easily. Afon Gwili suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m. Punching Sniper looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Kajsa Kemp gallopped for 10 m. Punching Sniper sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Mantovani never caught up with Punching Sniper who won. Afon Gwili came third. Results
