One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Vezzali found a gap and took the lead. Pierantozzi followed before Opposing Breath.




Opposing Breath quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Vezzali sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Vezzali was still in the lead after 1500m.




Vezzali was still in the lead after 2000m.



Opposing Breath speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Pierantozzi never caught up with Opposing Breath who won. Vezzali came third.
