It had been raining for several days at Rättvik but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Holger Opal could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Competitive Sergeant was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Blue Star, Rebellious Thinking, Competitive Sergeant, Carlos Capitan, Holger Opal, Gold Girl Talk, Purple Madness, Parkas.

Competitive Sergeant sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Competitive Sergeant followed by Holger Opal and Rebellious Thinking. Lane two Parkas followed by Gold Girl Talk and Purple Madness. driver couldn't keep Tempting Lady to trotting so they were disqualified.

Parkas was first on the homestretch followed by Gold Girl Talk and Holger Opal.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Competitive Sergeant galop. Competitive Sergeant lost 30 m.

Gold Girl Talk made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Holger Opal.
