One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Stopping Thrasher. Gentleman Night ended up behind the leader. Winner's Choise got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

This is the positions after 500m. Running Ace, Max Printer, Winner's Choise, Zeus, Fighting Scout, Stopping Thrasher, Beautiful Scene, Lawmaker. Setoguchi was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Solid Thrasher started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Max Printer accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Stopping Thrasher galloped for 10 m. Gentleman Night galloped for 40 m.

Winner's Choise put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

Max Printer speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Running Ace was disturbed and galopped for 10 m.

Setoguchi made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Beautiful Scene.
