The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Rättvik this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Passione Di Birra could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Close Box, Beautiful Velvet, Knightly Flower, Shining Nugget, Francio Vox, Powerful Bandwith, Pointing Whirlwind, Passione Di Birra.




Powerful Bandwith looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Passione Di Birra couldn't come out from behind the leader, Close Box.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Close Box followed by Passione Di Birra and Pointing Whirlwind. Lane two Powerful Bandwith followed by Beautiful Velvet and Francio Vox.



Powerful Bandwith litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Knightly Flower showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Francio Vox sprinted over the finishline before Powerful Bandwith and Passione Di Birra.
