One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Rare Mare tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to
Saade that came steaming ahead. Tarzan Boy galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Claes Sjöström wanted a little to much in the start and Circle Star galoped for 10 m.
Rare Mare saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of
Sun Queen who started to galop and lost 10 m.
Circle Star was disturbed and galoped 10 m. A bird flew just in front of
Fair
Necklace who started to galop and lost 30 m.
Circle Star took the lead after 1000m.
Rare Mare didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused
Circle Star galop.
Circle Star lost 40 m.
Rare Mare made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before
Saade.
