The sun was shining on Åby and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Stone Gossard was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Seven Of Diamonds started to galop and lost 40 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Coast To Coast sprinted to the front.

Barbie Princess took the lead after 1000m. Stone Gossard didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Coast To Coast suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m. Blitz Thunder suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Barbie Princess followed by Lets get Glory and Rex Lavec. Lane two By The Way followed by Stone Gossard and Seven Of Diamonds.

With only a little left of the race Stiller - The Killer galoped for 10 m. By The Way was first on the homestretch followed by Barbie Princess and Rex Lavec.

Rex Lavec sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
