The weather had been good all week and Kaukonen was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Tiepido Tenero found a gap and took the lead.
I Have Power followed before
Croire Éléments. Talvisota galloped way to long and was disqualified.
The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.
Croire Éléments started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
I Have Power took the lead after 1000m.
Tiepido Tenero didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
