One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Through The Grapewine took the lead after a very quick start.

As My Honey saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Old Technology showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Limerick Rake accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Limerick Rake kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.

Limerick Rake sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Périscope made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Limerick Rake.
