One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Giant Fly could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. driver couldn't keep Tropical Breeze to trotting so they were disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Majestic Speed, Rask, Lady Lou, Monroe, Giant Fly, Dream General, Strong Piece, Lieutenant Sound. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 40 m. Painted Love started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Lady Lou sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Majestic Speed looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Lady Lou showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

With only a little left of the race Dream General galoped for 10 m. Majestic Speed kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Majestic Speed kept the speed the whole finish and won before Rask and Monroe.
