One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Flower Temptress sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Happy
Comet was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

Coughing Starshine sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
Coughing Starshine was still in the lead after 1500m.
Coughing Starshine kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.
Coughing Starshine were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
Coughing Starshine kept the speed the whole finish and won before Glorious Winter and Flower Temptress.
