One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Monsoon tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Active Bear that came steaming ahead.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Come Out Flying sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of Active Bear who started to galop and lost 50 m.

Monsoon sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Frosty Flower looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Frosty Flower was still in the lead after 2000m.

Frosty Flower sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Monsoon won the race after a spectacular finish.
