The weather had been good all week and Forus was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Calymmian found a gap and took the lead. Quick Thrasher followed before Malkin Bjerr.. Frode Hamre wanted a little to much in the start and Malkin Bjerr. galoped for 40 m.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and Hejduk sprinted to the front.
Loudwire took the lead after 1000m. Hejduk didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Standings after 1500m . Lane one Loudwire followed by Malkin Bjerr. and Calymmian. Lane two Quick Thrasher followed by Hejduk and Bordeaux.
Loudwire kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Malkin Bjerr. made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Loudwire.
