The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Halmstad this day.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Tropical Orchid tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Adriane that came steaming ahead.
This is the positions after 500m. Van Der Sar, Wondering Sugar, Pinilla, Tropical Orchid, Adriane, Dribbling Plan, She Is, . Van Der Sar started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of She Is who started to galop and lost 40 m.
Wondering Sugar sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
Wondering Sugar was still in the lead after 1500m.
Wondering Sugar kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
No-one could catch Wondering Sugar today who won before Tropical Orchid and Adriane.
