The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Lahti this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Back In Control could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Mauri Jaara wanted a little to much in the start and Rad Red Rat galoped for 10 m.

Criminal Wind saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Wish I Was Taller suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Zimbabwe Dream saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.

Bad To The Bone was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Zimbabwe Dream were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Rad Red Rat sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
