The weather had been good all week and Gävle was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Slow Night. Le Tigre ended up behind the leader. Serve Montana got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Quince started to galop and lost 30 m.
Breaking Glam quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.
Sliding Bandwagon sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
Close Moment accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.
Close Moment kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
How About galopped for 40 m on the homestretch.
Sliding Bandwagon sprinted over the finishline before Close Moment and Serve Montana.
