The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Dakota Rebel was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Sharp Goaltender sprinted to the front.

Sharp Goaltender clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Sharp Goaltender was still in the lead after 1500m.

Adventurous Crusher suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Piff On Fire sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
