The weather had been good all week and Bergsåker was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Adorabile Vittoria was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.
Ramos Pegasos saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.
Flame On Fire took the lead after 1000m. Giunchi didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Nothing seemed to be able to stop Flame On Fire today. It continued in the lead. Three Card Monte started to gallop after 1500m and Lars-Åke Svärdfeldt had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Pampered Trap galloped for 60m and was disqualified.
Giunchi suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.
Final standings. 1 Flame On Fire, 2 Adorabile Vittoria, 3 Green Curry.
