One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Polished Boy was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. driver couldn't keep Brave Nutcracker to trotting so they were disqualified.
There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.

Polished Boy today. It continued in the lead.
Polished Boy kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Polished Boy kept the speed the whole finish and won before
Solid Titan and
Dreamland.
