One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Verstandig Wel Eens was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Happy Thinking was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Adorabile Vittoria, Conways Law, Happy Thinking, Big Thrasher, Verstandig Wel Eens, Escape, Brave Tropic, Eternal Maid. A bird flew just in front of Charmed Fox who started to galop and lost 30 m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Escape looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Eternal Maid was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Conways Law suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Escape never caught up with Conways Law who won. Brave Tropic came third.
