One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
The Chocolate Factory was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.
Le Poignard saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.
The Chocolate Factory sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
Awakening Slave saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.
Awakening Slave was still in the lead after 2000m.
Awakening Slave kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Étonnement Jeune galop. Étonnement Jeune lost 30 m.
Awakening Slave didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
