Start List
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Purple Heart found a gap and took the lead. Hamburg Banker followed before L'Étoile Mystérieuse.
There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.
Comfortable Devil looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Hamburg Banker couldn't come out from behind the leader, Purple Heart.
Purple Heart was still in the lead after 1500m. Comfortable Devil galloped for 40 m.
Purple Heart were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
L'Étoile Mystérieuse galoped way to long and was disqualified.
Purple Heart didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
