One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Thrasher was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.
Kvarngärdets Merlin was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. Frome The Clouds started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
