The sun was shining on Eskilstuna today. A perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Gare Du Nord could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Bella Ragazza galloped way to long and was disqualified.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Screaming Tank sprinted to the front.

Handy Thrasher looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Hoping Blast couldn't come out from behind the leader, Screaming Tank.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Screaming Tank followed by Gare Du Nord and Hoping Blast. Lane two Lolita On Fire followed by Handy Thrasher and Tender Satellite.

Screaming Tank looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Hoping Blast sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
