The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åby this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Solid Action could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Sly Sergeant was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.

Thinking Legend quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Sly Sergeant accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Solid Action suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Sly Sergeant sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
